◆ DormIQ verdict · synthesized from 1 review

Alder Hall operates more like an apartment community than a traditional dorm, which either sounds ideal or vaguely ominous depending on where you are in your independence journey. Alder Hall is a University of Washington residence hall on North Campus in Seattle. It opened in 2013 and is part of the newer housing stock at UW. The consistent bright spot students mention: students generally view alder hall as newer and more modern than many older uw dorms.

Best for

  • people with strict bathroom routines
  • people who prefer things that don't creak
  • people who appreciate recent construction
  • central campus devotees who want a short walk everywhere
