Warren Towers was a great place to live as a freshman.
Towers love. We definitely have a work hard play hard attitude.
Horribly dirty in our common room/ halls all the time. It smells bad all the time!
It's all freshman. but good stuff
Warren Towers, during my time there as a freshman, lacked both comfort and study space. However, living in warren towers allows new freshmen to meet a lot of their fellow classmates and start to form friendships that can last for their entire college careers.
Great for freshmen but would not recommend it for anyone else. Cannot beat the locations. Really social building.
Pros: A great place to be a freshman. Right in the middle of campus, tons of other students, good dining hall. Cons: Rooms are small, and go elsewhere for a quiet study environment
This is where post people want to live at BU but I think it sucks. Big, crowded, dirty and loud with puking freshman everywhere. Good for you if you're looking for hotties and the party scene. Convenient location, smack in the middle of campus.
Don't room at Warren. It's worth the 15 extra minutes to walk from West to main campus. West is a lot more social. Do Warren if you're foreign, asian, or just want to study and make about 5 friends.
Best place to meet new people.
Large and has a lot of people so you will definitely make friends.
Warren Towers is considered the most "freshmen" dorm on campus. With its three looming towers, thousands of students -mostly composed of freshmen- roam the hallways of the floors, eat at different hours in the dinning hall, and sit together in comfortable common rooms. The beauty of Warren is that regardless of its sheer size, your floor is your family, and the RA makes sure that happens. You will always find someone to talk to at the weirdest hours of the night. Although the bathrooms weren't the cleanest, they were still better than other public bathrooms. The rooms are of a great size, and all floors have a policy of "quiet time" after 6pm. The staff are very warming. Also, the food is one of the best on campus. Overall, I enjoyed living in Warren; it was an unforgettable experience.
I have a corner double, so I lucked out. Overall it's not too bad if you don't mind the noise, though that's usually only on specialized floors. It's all right, definitely for a first year student.
Warren Towers is an awesome place to start a college career. Class is across the street. Everything in the city is at your finertips. The downside is the occassionaly annoying security personnel.
Warren Towers is your typical freshman dorm, but like ten times bigger. I love it because there's such a variety of people, and there's always someone to hang out with, even at 4 in the morning. It can get kind of loud, but there's always the quiet study lounge if you have to get stuff done. I live in a quad, and it's really small, but it's doable. Honestly, I couldn't think of a better place to spend my freshman year at BU because Warren is so social. Unlike some of the dorms, it has common rooms, and I basically love my entire floor.
The dorm is small, but big enough to hold all your belongings, a bed and a desk. Cleanliness is really dependent on you, but in general custodial staff cleans daily on weekdays. There virtually is no parking since its a freshman dorm, therefore no one really uses cars but if you really want parking you have to pay a ridiculous fee. The bathrooms are communal (per floor) and there are no kitchens. There are study lounges which are nice when it's hard to study in your room or the common rooms. Since it's a freshman dorm there is no party scene, but many students pre-game and go to parties. RHA Staff are good because they do their job, but sometimes they're too strict. Location and convenience is perfect. Across the street from most classes, near convenience stores and pretty much in the center of campus and Boston.
Good dorm for freshmen who like to be around a lot of people all of the time. Extremely convenient location for most colleges in BU with a good dining hall, mail service, and laundry room.
Great location, usually pretty clean, but really strict security
Kind of like an apartment
Fantastic! Wouldn't ask to be anywhere else!
Warren Towers is a great place to live freshmen year, love the common rooms.
Standard freshman dorm. Crowded, relatively small rooms, but convenient location and dining hall makes up for everything
guards/swiping in sucks. freshmen dorming so no kichens. elevators keep breaking. should get a gym inside again.
Excellent dorm for freshman to meet people. Sooooo convenient!
It's cramped living quarters, and can be really loud. But as a freshman it's great to live in this melting pot with all kinds of people from all over the place, and it's definitely a wonderful way to get social footing in the first year of college. It is also very convenient to everything in central and east campus, and is only a 10 minute (brisk) walk from FitRec and Agganis. Having a T stop three steps from the front doors means you have access to all of Boston. Highly recommended for freshman in CAS, ENG, COM, SAR, and SMG.
Warren Towers is a wonderful place for freshman for three main reasons: as a large style dorm, it is very easy to make friends and socialize, second because of its very convenient location on campus, and finally because it provides an easy transition to college life by providing many of the services needed (laundry, dining hall, study areas etc) inside just one building.
Had a great time. If you have a good RA you will have a good year.
good for the freshman experience....very social atmosphere
It's an extremely large building, domineering Commonwealth Avenue. The location is convenient, the faculty, staff, and residents are all courteous and willing to help. The people who live here are great. There's always something going on somewhere!
Warren Towers are awesome for freshman, I highly recommend it.
Warren is a very typical freshman dorm - it is just very overwhelming and not very quiet or suitable for all types of living conditions. It definitely needs to be renovated.
Lots and lots of people and a huge building, but a good way to meet fellow freshman and overall not too bad. Can get a little dirty/loud, but it's college.
I like Warren but cannot wait to move out because it gets annoying when people are loud at 2am weekday nights. I understand them being loud on the weekends but weekdays?? Very annoying.
A great place to live. Could always use improvement, especially for such a large dorm. "Quiet" study areas can be noisy at times, and nothing done to enforce quietness. Overall, a great convenience to live here in terms of location, dining services, and a decent lifestlye.
I lived on a floor in the C Tower. My floormates were very friendly and accepting. Our bathrooms were kept clean by the cleaning ladies that we frequently said hi to. I loved the location because we would just hop onto a train at BU East.
Good freshman dorm
The largest non-military dorm in the country, Warren Towers has been called "The Zoo" for many years due to its known status as the housing of most incoming freshmen at Boston University. It has a gym, dining hall, Starbucks, Subway, and Convenience store. It is the perfect place to live freshman year. Between the massive amounts of people you meet daily and the obligatory floorcest- What is there not to like?
In general, a good freshman dorm that is in a very convenient location.
