I like living in Independence West. The only thing that bothered me is that some of the rooms are bigger than others. Very nice living arrangement though. The elevator is probably the slowest elevator on the West Coast though.
The buildings are pretty, but it is soooo far away from everything else on campus
nice, if a bit sparse and small for two
I love my dorm.
Independence West is a great dorm
All in all a truly great experience- by far the nicest dorms at UD
Probably the best residence hall I have lived in thus far. Very new, spacious, clean, great lounge. All in all where you want to live.
I lived with my friends in Independence East which made for a really enjoyable year. There are definitely quiet places to go to do homework and study. The dining hall is about as close as you can get. Overall, living in Independence East was a great experience.
Not a bad dorm, quiet when it needs to be, fun on the weekends. The suite style is nice.
Independence is definitely one of the better dorms for upper classmen. They are much closer to campus than the other dorms on North campus and right across from the dining hall. The rooms are pretty spacious and the shared bathroom is definitely big enough for 4 people to share. It's the first stop for the north campus bus route, so you are able to get on before the large crowds at the towers. The large lounges on each floor are great for studying. It's not the best dorm for meeting new people since most people sign up through living with friends and hang in their suites.
