Hess is located at the center of campus so it's a great location! The rooms are pretty small, but they are newly furnished and clean. Overall I liked Hess Hall.

I enjoyed living in Hess Hall my freshman year of college. It had a great location with good sized rooms. I didn't mind having community bathrooms rather than individual bathrooms. I liked it a lot.

Hess Hall is right next door to Hodges Library, about a five minute walk from "the Hill," and very close to "the Strip", the Presidential Court cafeteria, and other popular campus buildings. Generally, the community bathrooms are quite clean, and the staff is friendly. Hess Hall is really great. Although I did not stay there for my sophomore year, I actually plan on coming back for my junior year since it is in the center of campus. Highly recommended!

Overall, Hess was one of the cleanest and most conveniently located dorms on campus.

I actually loved living in the zoo if you'll believe it! ;) Don't believe all of the stories that you hear guys. Seriously, if you don't want Greek life and social pricks thrown in your face then please live in Hess. Yeah it's community bathroom and such, BUT it's a GREAT experience and what better way to meet new friends then when you are brushing your teeth? ;) I hope that this helps!
