Ashton is what you make of it. I lived on the 2nd floor of Hershey. People say Ashton is the anti-social dorm because all of the rooms are singles, but when I lived there most of us got along and were very social. You just have to be willing to open up to others and leave your door open. The rooms are air conditioned with window units. It was actually nice to have the window unit and be able to control exactly when the air turns on. The bathrooms are a little gross but the janitor works really hard to keep the place nice, and that's appreciated. If people would respect the space a little more it would have been much better. There's a small kitchenette on the lower floors with a community refrigerator. Believe it or not, people respected each other and no one ate anyone else's food, as far as I know. My RA was awesome but those change every year, so I can't vouch for that. It's also in Central neighborhood and really convenient. It took me 5 minutes to get to the library on foot.
